Resort Overview:
Sugarbush Resort is seeking a Director of Utilities to join our Mountain Water team. The Director of Utilities will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort's Utilities, including financial, safety, compliance, permitting, construction, maintenance, operations, customer relations, reporting, and staff management. This role involves developing and modifying services and systems in accordance with company needs and resources as well as government regulations, maintaining budgets, and ensuring compliance with permits and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure adequate maintenance of infrastructure
- Work closely with the Facilities department
- Maintain parts inventory
- Address issues dealing with potential disasters
- Monitor utility operations to ensure compliance
- Supervise/assist in handling emergencies
- Oversee construction and repair projects
- Develop and maintain operational and capital budgets
- Supervisory responsibilities
- Assist staff in daily operations
- Work with Planning Department for permitting and reporting
- Advise company officials on new regulations and technological developments
- Maintain customer relations with system users
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement includes Grade 2 State of Vermont Wastewater License, Grade 4B State of Vermont Water License, and at least 5 years of experience managing water and wastewater treatment systems
- Vermont State Lab certification
- Good mechanical skills and ability to work outside in various weather conditions
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required
