We're looking for a skilled Director of Warehouse Operations to lead all aspects of our client's warehouse operations, logistics and allocations processes that supports their fast-growing omni-channel businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize operational activities that span across our HQ and warehouse, including facilities maintenance and security, supplies and packaging procurement, vendor relations and negotiations, and supporting our team's technology hardware and software needs through coordination with our third-party technology provider.
- Direct all warehouse activities including scheduling daily workflows, inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping to ensure smooth and timely product flow to customers.
- Oversee inventory management activities and develop strategies to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Collaborate with other teams to meet customer requirements and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage warehouse facilities maintenance and supplies forecast to ensure proper environment and adequate stock levels for warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies to maintain a secure and compliant working environment.
- Manage the warehouse expense budget and resources to ensure cost efficiency and maintain high service standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuously look to implement best practices to improve distribution center processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in order processing and inventory management.
- Recruit and train warehouse personnel, providing clear direction and performance expectations, conducting performance reviews, and developing team through coaching and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in warehouse management, logistics, and facilities maintenance with in-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
- Ability to navigate industry-specific software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Organized and strong communicator with ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Team player with a positive attitude and track record of success in leading large teams.
- Energized by an environment that requires a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, flexibility, and commitment to deliver on deadlines.
- Self-starter that anticipates problems, identifies opportunities, and provides creative solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
