Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Director, Operations & Events to provide

administrative, planning and operational support to the CEO and company

as a whole. This role will be responsible for planning, organizing, and

directing operational and events objectives. As our Director,

Operations & Events, you will assist in the implementation of strategic long-

term goals and practice fiscally responsible decisions. You will also evaluate

the results of overall operations regularly and recommend strategies for

improvement and growth. This is a vital role that will drive results and

improve the overall efficiency and scalability of the organization and will

report directly to the CEO. In this role, you will manage diverse business

operations and functions which will require you to be a self-driven,

conscientious leader with outstanding business acumen and work-ethic.

The Director, Operations & Events will be responsible for:

Leading the planning of the company's tentpole events, including but

not limited to staffing plan, contracting third party vendors, reviewing

final invoices to submit to CEO for approval, working with direct

reports on logistics and communication, monitoring contractual

deadlines, managing sponsor deliverables and needs, etc.;

Managing two event staff members including setting team check-ins,

triaging requests and issues, and escalating decisions/requests to the

CEO as needed;

Innovating across the event suite to identify new opportunities

for client sponsorships;

Monitoring internal systems and tools to ensure functionality,

effectiveness, and quick resolution of bugs/issues;

Liaising with external vendors to manage company's website

functionality, Salesforce CRM, Rippling; and other tools as needed;

Reviewing, approving/rejecting, and finalizing expenses for employees

and company as a whole;

Ensuring timely payment of incoming invoices in conjunction with

external finance team;

Monitoring monthly expenses and revenue to ensure consistent and

accurate reporting;

Maintaining internal calendars and communicating with all staff on

key upcoming events, dates, etc;

Previewing and approving payroll;

Scheduling and preparing for annual staff reviews;

Reviewing and approving staff requests for supplies and equipment.

About the Candidate

A qualified candidate will have the following experiences and abilities:

Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years relevant operations and events

experience;

Extraordinary attention to detail, including the ability to easily find

and correct inconsistencies, and create and maintain accuracy across

systems, documents and platforms;

Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity;

Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential

issues;

Enjoyment of complex planning and logistics;

Excellent organizational skills, both digitally and physically;

Strong written communication skills, including the ability to adeptly

edit and proofread documents, and spot and correct grammar errors

with ease;

Strong verbal communication skills, including comfort speaking to a

variety of people (i.e. conference attendees, colleagues, and vendors)

in-person and via phone and video;

Enthusiasm for learning and a desire to be challenged;

The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

without stress;

Ability and interest in learning, following, creating and updating

internal process;

A natural curiosity about how things work and how to get them done

efficiently, including identifying and addressing problems with ease;

Ability to prioritize and work under pressure;

Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, MS Suite, Google Suite for Business

essential;

Wrike, Expensify, Rippling, Adobe Suite experience a plus.

Experience or interest in the financial world a plus

Location: New York City (hybrid), Philadelphia (hybrid)

Position Type: Regular, full-time, nonexempt

Travel: Up to 6 weeks per year, both international and domestic. This is

required for the role.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary will be $100,000-$125,000 commensurate to industry standards and

candidate's prior relevant skills and experiences.
