Job Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThis is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing profitable parcel solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in parcel operations, including negotiating discounts with major parcel logistics providers (UPS, FedEx, DHL) and leveraging parcel TMS platforms to optimize performance.This position will play a critical role in driving profitability, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction. This position requires expertise in freight forwarding, third-party logistics (3PL/4PL), and parcel distribution solutions.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSParcel Distribution Leadership
  • Lead and oversee parcel distribution operations across Crane Worldwide Logistics' global facilities.
  • Develop and execute strategies for designing and implementing profitable parcel shipping solutions for clients.
  • Negotiate competitive rates and discounts with parcel logistics providers to maximize profitability.
Solution Design & Client Engagement
  • Build and design customized parcel solutions tailored to clients' specific shipping needs and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with the sales and account management teams to present parcel solutions to prospective and existing clients.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with client objectives.
Technology & Process Optimization
  • Implement and manage parcel Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize operations and drive efficiency.
  • Configure TMS platforms based on unique customer requirements to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance and profitability.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Partner with internal teams, including operations, sales, and IT, to ensure cross-functional alignment and success.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on operational success.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven success in negotiating parcel logistics contracts and driving profitable solutions.
  • Extensive experience with parcel TMS platforms, including configuration for specific customer requirements.
  • Strong understanding of parcel logistics and distribution, including domestic and international.
