Director (Private Capital Advisory - Secondaries) – New York
Venture Search is partnered with a leading Investment Bank, recognized globally for its excellence in Secondaries. As a leader in the industry, they are expanding their Private Capital Advisory team and are currently seeking experienced professionals to join as Junior Vice Presidents.
The Junior Vice President will play a crucial role in advising clients on complex transactions within the Private Capital space, with a primary focus on Secondaries. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team at the forefront of the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the execution of Secondaries transactions, including GP-led deals.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, financial analysis, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deal closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their investment goals and providing tailored advisory services.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic insights and recommendations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape within the Private Capital and Secondaries space.
- Analyse and interpret relevant data to inform investment strategies and client recommendations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to the team's overall success.
- Identify potential risks associated with transactions and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Secondaries, at an Investment Bank or an Advisory firm
- Proven track record in executing Secondaries transactions, including GP-led and LP-led deals.
- Strong LBO modelling, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is a plus.
