The RoleMetropolis is looking for a Director of Product Analytics to build our Product Analytics team, reporting to the Vice President of Product. You will have the unique opportunity to build the Product Analytics team from scratch, and by doing so, instill a culture of data-driven decision making within the Product team and the organization more broadly.
Your team will be responsible for quantifying potential priorities – helping the Product team decide which remarkable experiences to build – and measuring the impact of the products we choose to build, keeping us honest that we have delivered on our promises. You will create reporting to allow us to track our progress in real-time, distilling those into business insights that you will present to the executive team. You will collaborate with the Data Engineering and Application Development teams to define the data sources that are essential for your team's success, and to ensure that we are presenting a consistent, accurate, and relevant set of metrics to the organization.
The ideal candidate for this role is a player-coach, as comfortable setting your team's strategy as you are digging into the data to uncover insights yourself. We intend for this team to grow to include a handful of Product Analysts within the next several months, and you will be responsible for hiring the right candidates to multiply your impact.
