Join the Oncology Data Science – Data, Analytics, and AI Platforms (ODSP) team, a diverse group spread across Cambridge UK, Boston MA, Gaithersburg MD, Munich DE. Our mission is to advance Oncology grounded data science by crafting a strategic culture that values our data as a true business asset. We are looking for a new senior team member to act as a Product Manager around critical biomarker development initiatives to help us deliver better patient outcomes by pioneering digital solutions.

This Opportunity

Acting as a Product Manager, you will collaborate with internal customers to identify challenges and issues we will solve. You will build a compelling product vision and strategy to solve these sophisticated business problems and lead the product roadmap to ensure value delivery. You will work collaboratively across functions to deliver products that have impact. Adopting a data-driven discipline, you will support near and long-term business strategy to build impactful solutions across the organization.

What you'll do

  • Connect with internal customers and identify and formulate the problems we will solve.

  • Working with the customers and stakeholders, create a compelling product vision and strategy to solve complex business problems.

  • Own the product roadmap to ensure value delivery in MVPs.

  • Responsible for the entire product lifecycle and working with engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure we deliver the right products.

  • Use data to drive decisions and business strategy with technical needs, escalating when necessary, without damaging connections.

  • Independently represent the products and the team and are comfortable communicating across organizations at various technical levels.

  • Actively collaborate with stakeholders to explore and solicit innovative concepts and technologies that could be incorporated in our products.

  • Actively contribute to ODSP's fun and innovative culture, bringing your authentic self, taking time for community, celebrating the diversity of thought and identity, taking risks, and accepting failures.

  • Contribute to the evangelism of ODSP's prowess and accomplishments through targeted communications, celebration of achievements, conferences, and/or external communication.

  • Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Ph.D. in natural or engineering sciences.

  • 5+ years managing technical products or equivalent experience in AI/ML development.

  • Good understanding of ML/AI/DL techniques, preferably with hands-on experience.

  • Record of accomplishment of innovation, developing strategic product ideas and plans, building technical proposals, and delivering visions for technical products.

  • Record of accomplishment in driving an AI-based solution from idea to production.

  • Ability to manage trade-off decisions between business opportunities and available resources.

  • Experience in working with and developing junior colleagues.

  • Highly collaborative with experience influencing and communicating cross-functionally with stakeholders.

  • Energized by leading talented and diverse teams toward a common goal, often translating through communication gaps around highly technical information.

  • Understanding of R&D, data science and AI, informatics, records management, and system development in the biotech/pharma industry.

  • Experience in requirements engineering following lean and agile principles.

  • Stakeholder communication and management.

  • Experience in scrum.

  • Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • 8+ years in science-based technical product management.

  • Experience with AI data preparation techniques in Bioinformatics, ML frameworks, and tooling.

  • Experience in applying AI technologies to products (scientific and/or consumers) from idea to production.

  • Knowledge in (immune) oncology.

  • Knowledge in drug development processes.

  • Product development experience.

  • Clinical, diagnostic, or translational science operations experience desirable.

  • Experience with data and AI regulations in China is highly desirable.

  • Experience in participating and/or driving Innovation events (Hackathon-like) driving to novel solutions.

  • Passion for learning new technologies.

    Competitive remuneration and benefits apply:

    The annual base pay for this position ranges from $169,977 to $254,965. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
