About the Team

The Value Acceleration Services team, part of the Engineering, Product, Innovation and Cloud (EPIC) organization, is responsible for serving a portfolio of value streams that feed into an enterprise SaaS product, with the goal of accelerating the delivery of value to customers. The team is composed of highly skilled practitioners who have expertise in their respective areas and work collaboratively to ensure that value streams are delivering maximum value. The team is committed to driving innovation, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction, and is focused on accelerating better outcomes for our people and our customers.

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Product Operations for Release Excellence to lead the transformation of how we deliver high quality, impactful products at UKG. This role is instrumental in shaping and executing release management and product readiness programs that align with UKG's customer centric values. This role requires a deep understanding of release and readiness practices and a passion for driving customer experience excellence. Using a variety of data sources and methods, you will help identify, understand, and prioritize improvements in our release and readiness processes.

Responsibilities

Apply knowledge of release practices, data analytics, processes and systems, and quality improvement to drive release excellence and the overall customer experience

Be the relentless advocate for quality-first culture, instilling a deep-seated commitment to excellence across the organization

Process owner of the release experience process and team, ensuring that all releases are meticulously planned, coordinated, deployed, supported, and executed

Build and operationalize a tiered release structure tailored to audience and business needs, ensuring agility and scalability in our release processes

Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Design, TPMs, and Customer Experience teams to ensure that product and release excellence are prioritized and ingrained in every stage of the product life cycle

Implement risk assessment, change management, and mitigation strategies to proactively address potential challenges, ensuring smooth and successful product releases

Continually refine best practices for competitive, efficient, and scalable end-to-end frameworks.

Establish trust actively in terms of quality, speed, and pace of delivery with the stakeholders.

Lead SHIPROOM Meetings and enforce a high but solid No Ship bar

Lead the definition and implementation of a communication and enablement strategy for releases, ensuring transparency and readiness for both internal stakeholders and external customers, while working closely Product, Engineering, TPMs, Product & Customer Marketing, and Customer Experience teams

Drive technology changes and automation efforts, leveraging tools like GenAI to streamline workflows, release note creation, and stakeholder notifications

Find issues (organizational, program, technical) that, if solved, would increase the overall effectiveness and customer and internal experience for the customer facing release

About You:

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

10+ year demonstrated success building quality management and managing and executing release and readiness management processes at scale at large, dynamic B2B SaaS organization

Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to unite cross-functional teams and organizations towards a common goal

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams.

Adaptability to evolve alongside new challenges and environments

Ability to perform in a hybrid-office role, requiring three or more days per week in the office.

The pay range for this position is $179,800 to $220,000, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
