Hallmark Media brings heartwarming movies and series to subscribers, providing a delightful streaming experience across multiple platforms.
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Director of Product to continuously improve the experience of our SVOD service. This individual will help define the strategy and ensure execution of our roadmap. They will focus on enhancing the front-end experience of our products and optimizing the Content Management System (CMS) to ensure smooth operations while driving measurable outcomes and business impact.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Subscriber Experience Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to enhance subscriber conversion, satisfaction, engagement, and retention through intuitive user interfaces, planning for both long term initiatives and short-term tactics while balancing requirements with technological constraints and resources.
Roadmap Prioritization and Execution: Manage the feature intake and prioritization process for your areas to develop and execute a roadmap that delivers against business goals.
Front-End Development: Collaborate closely with researchers, designers and engineering teams to oversee the development and implementation of features across web, mobile, and connected TV platforms.
CMS Optimization: Manage the optimization of our Content Management System (CMS) to streamline content ingestion, metadata management, and publishing workflows, ensuring efficient content delivery to subscribers.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Partner with team members to ensure we are measuring the right things. Use data analytics and user research insights to identify opportunities for product enhancement and prioritize feature development that aligns with business goals and subscriber needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and ensure clear communication and manage stakeholder understanding about Product initiatives across various departments including Programming, Distribution, Marketing, Customer Support, Technology, Research, Finance, Operations and more.
Quality Assurance: Oversee rigorous testing and QA processes to ensure high reliability, performance, and scalability of our streaming platform.
Streaming Expertise: Be the subject matter expert on streaming technologies, trends, and best practices and be able to apply these insights when applicable to our audience and business goals.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
7-10 years of product management experience in streaming subscriptions services and working across multiple platforms.
Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Previous people management is a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to interpret complex data sets and user feedback to drive data-driven decision making and continuous product improvement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to stakeholders at all levels and create alignment.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to navigate ambiguity effectively.
The salary range for this job is between $149,100- $207,100. Salary rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
