Established in 2003, we continue to innovate in the sports marketplace and build solutions for our constantly evolving world.This position reports into the Senior Director of the Property Marketing Group as well as the Senior Director of the Sports Marketing Group.Education & Standards12+ years of relevant experience in sports businessDeep expertise in partnership (rights holder) marketing and athlete relationsExtensive sports sponsorship and athlete network of contactsUndergraduate degree required (preferably Marketing, Business, Sports Management or Communications)Extremely strong communicator and presenter, in person and on conference callsCreative thinker who develops unique ideas, solutions, and programsHighly organized, with the ability to manage and prioritize many simultaneous deliverablesExperience with data, analytics, and measurement solutionsCritical SkillsStrong ability to effectively communicate ideas in both a written and verbal settingsExpert in industry knowledge and understanding of sports marketing vernacular and trendsAbility to work well under pressure and deliver assignments under deadlineStrong management skills and the ability to be a strong team leaderHigh level of proficiency in word, excel, power point, online researchSolution oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skillsAbility to navigate complicated situationsEfficient, organized and ability to handle multiple tasksSelf-sufficient, enthusiastic, and proactively pursues assignmentsResponsibilities:This role oversees all aspects of sports and athlete partnerships for one specific client. This individual will work alongside the OS sports marketing team dedicated to the client business as well as alongside the property marketing team to ensure best practices. Our purpose is to provide strategy, consultation, recommendations, and oversight regarding sports rights holders marketing initiatives for Optimum Sports' clients.Duties & Essential FunctionsLead the Optimum Sports' Property Marketing Group dedicated to a specific clientWork alongside Optimum Sports' sports marketing team in NYC to provide strategic direction, recommendations, negotiation and executionNegotiate high-level team, league and talent partnershipsManage senior-level relationships on behalf of client with multiple sports teams, leagues and athletesPresent new partnership opportunities and annual sports strategic recommendations to senior level executivesProduce and interpret relevant research from third party data, industry trades and additional sourcesProactive in identifying new projects and business opportunities with clientRecognize and solve tactical problems; participate in development of strategic solutionsDevelop broad understanding of client's business needs, KPI's, goals and objectivesStrong understanding and experience with personal service agreements (PSA), athlete marketing process, workflow, and agent managementStrong knowledge and understanding of sponsorship legal terms and contractual languageFamiliarity with in-stadium partnership structure, assets, team dynamics, and overall sponsorship terminologyContributes to company initiatives: business pitches and internal projects, as needed#LI-JS2This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
