The Director, Quality Assurance - LinOS is accountable for quality of one of the most audacious software builds the warehouse industry has ever seen. This role is accountable for the QA resources responsible for testing the web apps, mobile apps, APIs, and integrations with existing warehouse management and control systems that collectively make up the LinOS platform. Ultimately, LinOS will be at the heart of every one of our 400+ global warehouses helping to achieve Lineage's vision of being the world's most dynamic temperature-controlled logistics company.At Lineage, the aim is not to build the largest technology team; instead, we are creating a small, highly-skilled group that focuses on having the right mix of talents, skills, and the capacity to learn in areas that define our core differentiation. We leverage cloud services, best-of-breed libraries and components, and external teams to augment our capabilities with sufficient capacity. This is a critical role in that journey, and it will require someone who has a true passion for logistics data and associated technologies.Primary Responsibilities: Drives the QA vision and testing strategy for LinOSResponsible for definition, planning and execution of testing effortsEnsures that testers and automation engineers are trained in QA best practicesProvides high-level direction for manual and automated test strategy across multiple software components in an Agile environmentDefines and documents quality assurance proceduresAdhere to all company policies and procedures including safetyLeads numerous teams of software testers and automation engineersOccasionally domestic travel Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent work experience5 years experience managing QA teams10+ years of Quality Engineering and/or Test Engineering experience, handling full product life cyclesHands-on experience with planning, designing, executing tests and expertise in performance testingExperience implementing and maintaining quality test automation for both mobile and web applicationsKnowledge of industry standard test automation tools & automation frameworksKnowledge of node.js, Java, .NET, Python, C# or equivalent coding languageWorking experience in JIRAExperience with supply chain software a plus Required Skills and Abilities: Possess a willingness to be coached and proactively seek feedbackHandle multiple assignments/projects simultaneouslyProperly set priority and order for workWork in a fast-paced, agile environmentAsk for help and provide it to othersUnderstand your skills and your talents and apply them appropriatelyLearn and apply new technologies and business conceptsMaintain personal accountability for getting things done on time and with quality resultsDemonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts to business leaders and other non-technical teammatesExemplify Lineage's values of safety, trust, respect, boldness, innovation, and servant leadership Why Lineage?
