About the Role:

Kitsap Credit Union is searching for a Director of Real Estate Operations to lead a team out of our corporate Harborside office in Bremerton, WA. This role will be responsible for directing, managing, and coordinating the Real Estate lending operations functions of the credit union to support the production of profitable mortgage and home equity loans, consistent with established credit union objectives, policies, and procedures.

What you will do:

  • Manages Real Estate loan operations and administer credit union real estate lending programs consistent with credit union objectives to include first mortgage and equity loan processing.
  • Assists with long term planning and execution of strategic lending goals and provides recommendation to management of changes to products, loans policies and procedures by following lending laws and regulations.
  • Assesses and employs organizational skills to improve operational workflows, ensuring efficient and effective lending while promoting interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Manages Real Estate Lending Operations' productivity standards. Tracks production and monitors the quality and quantity of work to identify improvement Ensures that productivity standards are met, identifying and implementing solutions as needed.
  • Ensures and manages compliance of loan processing disclosures to GSE/RESPA guidelines.
  • Ensures that all members receive prompt, efficient, courteous and professional service and that member problems and complaints are resolved promptly, courteously and fairly.
  • Exercises responsibility for the delivery of financial services to Credit Union members in conformance with KCU's lending policies, underwriting guidelines, interest rates, and terms.
  • Develops and maintains operations procedures for area of responsibility.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of all applicable real estate lending Ensures compliance is maintained within real estate operations.
  • Contributes to financial objectives of the Credit Union by participating in the preparation of periodic updates and reports for management, including: production; loans in process; peer group statistics; market share statistics; comparison of competitors' programs, rates and terms; and monthly recordings in selected counties.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of current experience in real estate lending including: production; processing; underwriting; closing/funding; secondary marketing; and compliance
  • 5 years of management experience
  • Must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System within 30 days of hire and comply with the SAFE Act regulations

Salary Range: $93,594.98 to $116,993.73 depending on experience

Bonus Target: 12% potential incentive of base pay

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

Grade: 13BC
