Job Description Summary

A director of sales is responsible for delivering enhanced business practices to assigned Retail partners for improving our ability to capitalize on opportunities for growth and to mitigate risk. Establishes business goals and objectives, and then translates them into specific objectives for execution through the development of strategic, integrated customer business plans. Delivers assigned volume and financial objectives within specified targets. Ensure strong linkages between customer, field sales, national and regional accounts, Foodservice and Brand Marketing. Manages, develops, and aligns field sales team in accordance with Lamb-Weston Retail BU's goals and objectives.

Job Description
  • Leads the work of account managers by initiating objectives, setting priorities and evaluating performance.
  • Works independently with general direction from the Sr. Vice President Sales in terms of corporate objectives and priorities.
  • May have direct account responsibility.
  • Set strategy and accountability for broker partnerships.
  • Develop and own strategic plans for assigned accounts, proactively adjusting plans and resources to maximize results.
  • Reconciles company and customer financial objectives in creating and revising business plans and budgets.
  • Develop and manage the trade budget and plan in partnership with accounts.
  • Meets with customer senior management to develop collaborative business plans measured by joint scorecard metrics.
  • Develops and delivers major opportunities, which have significant impact at the highest levels in the organizations.
  • Partner with Category Management to leverage data and insights to activate customer solutions.
  • Develops and/or executes innovative category strategies and initiatives related to product mix and new items.
  • Aligns resources to support cross-functional partner needs: analytics, technology, learning and development, etc.
  • Interact and partner with cross-functional teams within Lamb Weston and at assigned accounts: Category Management, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Manage Sales Coordinator for contract administration, deduction management.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in similar field preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of sales experience, 5+ years managing a sales team required.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to use a variety of computer technologies and tools including Microsoft Suite, with CRM use. SAP experience preferred.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills and ability to negotiate. Ability to read, write and speak in English required. Bilingual skills desirable.
  • Strong business management skills, including financial management skills and a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to travel independently up to 50% of the time, valid U.S. driver's license, and ability to meet Company driving standards.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $165,970.00 - $248,960.00
