Come join our team!Job Responsibilities:This position provides strategic thought leadership and support to accomplish the activities and achieve results for the Practice Institute and the Council on Scientific Affairs. This position oversees all aspects of evidence-based guideline development with internal and external collaborators, oversight of activities of the Council on Scientific Affairs, support for the ADA standards program as well as being the lead expert for scientific aspects of health policy. The position will also support the emerging activities related to data science and AI.Must Have:
  • DDS/DMD with a PhD or MS
  • 10 years work experience with a dental product industry or research or health and/or data policy experience
  • Scientific research with publication in peer-reviewed journals
  • Directing or administering scientific programs or projects
  • Technical or scientific writing and communications
  • Trend analysis and report development
  • Program administration, multi-tasking
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork/collaborative skills
  • Ability to critically review, analyze, and summarize research findings for a variety of audiences
  • Presentation and problem solving skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of clinical and scientific methods
  • Deadline and result driven and attention to detail, accuracy
  • Integrity, trust, leadership and ability to work with all levels within the Association environment and external agencies
  • Self-motivator and self-starter
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Some meetings may occur in the evenings or weekends and may require travel
Nice to Have:
  • Prior Association experience
  • Strong record of demonstrated experience coordinating multiple collaborative activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with the preparation and submission of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and/or knowledge of principles and practices of evidence-based dentistry
  • Some public health experience
