If so, you could be the perfect fit for our Director of Single Family Lending role!We're hiring a full-time Director, Single Family Lending for our Homeownership Division.As the Director, Single Family Lending, you will play a crucial role in overseeing loan processing and compliance functions that contribute to our mission. In this role, you will:
- Lead the creation of new loan programs, manage underwriting, conduct loan reviews, and oversee key secondary-market activities, including setting rates and engaging with Government-Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) to support homeownership opportunities.
- Manage the loan pipeline by setting performance standards for underwriters, lending analysts, and specialists, ensuring efficient loan underwriting and timely document review across business channels.
- Build strong interdepartmental relationships to maintain efficient workflows and open communication with teams handling secondary-market operations and loan servicing, ensuring a unified approach to our lending mission.
- Manage customer service issues related to underwriting and strengthen overall customer relations by promoting responsive and reliable support.
- Oversee and participate in the compliance management system and quality control of loans, ensuring that the organization and partners comply with all state and federal law, contracts, rules, applicable mortgage-insurer requirements and secondary market requirements.
Your experience, skills, and education should include:
- Comprehensive knowledge of homeownership programs, mortgage lending, mortgage insurance, including regulatory and compliance requirements. Expertise in the secondary mortgage market is also essential for leading activities related to mortgage sales, loan pooling, and partnerships with GSEs.
- Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to the field, including anti-money laundering, Fair Lending, TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID), customer complaint resolution, and data protection/security requirements.
- Education: eleven years relevant work experience, Master's Degree in a related field preferred.
