The Small Business Products & Blueprint team within GCS is responsible for maintaining leadership in both our proprietary Card and Beyond-the-Card products for small businesses.How will you make an impact in this role?Small businesses are a true engine for growth. Within the Small Business Products & Blueprint team, the Data Strategy & Analytics team provides fuel for that engine in the form of actionable data-based insights. The Director, Small Business Services (SBS) Card Loyalty, Benefits, and Lending Analytics will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of SBS card product performance, engagement, and usage analytics to expand and deepen our relationship with customers. The role requires a high level of expertise in driving decisions backed by data insights, deploying advanced predictive and statistical methodologies, leading strategic analytics, and designing scalable data assets. The ideal candidate will bring a unique balance of technical skills combined with a strategic mindset and the ability to communicate effectively.Role Responsibilities:Translate business problems into data strategies and lead analytical workstreams on SBS customer engagement, usage, and retention leveraging advanced analytical techniques including clustering, machine learning, and statistical analysisLead strategy and execution for creation of SBS card transaction and customer data assets including migration of source data to cloud environment and design of sustainable, optimized data structureModel expected impact on business of potential charge product features and enhancements and advise senior leaders on product roadmapServe as subject matter expert for SBS charge and lend portfolio performance, leading regular product performance reviews for card leadershipManage and prioritize demands for data, ad hoc analytics, and reporting from multiple stakeholders, reallocating resources as necessary to ensure alignment with business prioritiesProvide leadership and coaching to direct reports as well as the analysts and managers on the broader Analytics team in areas such as application of advanced analytical concepts, test design, and effective presentationMinimum Qualifications:Relevant professional experience including extensive experience in hands-on analytical role(s) leveraging data to drive decisions, translate operational performance into financial implications, and influence business strategies.Bachelor's degree preferably in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, engineering, math, science, economics, etc). Extensive experience building sustainable data assets using cloud-based analytical tools, querying languages, and visualization software (e.g., SQL, Python, Databricks, Tableau)Deep knowledge of Small Business Services Charge and Lend data systems and performance metricsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to non-technical stakeholders, and to explain business processes, concepts, and issues to technical resourcesTeam player with proven ability to influence and collaborate with others across all levels of an organizationStrong curiosity and initiative in tackling complex business analysis; dives deeply into the data, relentlessly pursues its meaning, and how these insights can drive business performanceProven track record effectively managing priorities across multiple senior level keyholders and influencing stakeholders across all levels of organizationProven track record translating business problems into data strategies and solutions, leading complex, multi-stage analytical workstreams, and advising senior leadership on data-based insights Proven ability to lead and develop team of product analysts, providing leadership and coaching to the team in areas such as application of advanced analytical concepts, sustainable data models, and effective presentationPreferred Qualifications:At least 9 years of relevant professional experience in hands-on analytical role(s) leveraging data to drive decisions, translate operational performance into financial implications, and influence business strategies; Financial services experiences is a plusAdvanced degrees preferably in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, engineering, math, science, economics, etc).Expertise in data science and advanced analytical techniques including clustering, machine learning, and statistical analysisQualificationsSalary Range: $150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
