The Director of Social Impact will lead the strategic development and execution of community engagement and investment initiatives for the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Braves Foundation and the Henry Louis Aaron Fund. This includes leading day-to-day programs and activations both at Truist Park along with outreach initiatives and programming in communities across Braves Country. This role will focus on building strategic plan for Club/Foundation giving, considering key stakeholders and brand alignment. Candidate will foster impactful relationships with community organizations, managing outreach programs, and ensuring alignment with the team's overall mission of making a positive social impact for kids and communities across Braves Country. The ideal candidate will have a strong sports business acumen, with a background in corporate social responsibility, social impact management, program development and execution, and partnership engagement, particularly within the sports or entertainment sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Strategic Leadership: Implement a comprehensive community relations strategy that aligns with the team's values and objectives, focusing on sustainable community impact. Align ABF grant making strategy, and team volunteerism with community partners and organizational goals.

* Partnership Development: Identify, cultivate, and maintain strategic partnerships with local nonprofits, schools, and community organizations to enhance the Club and Foundation's reach and effectiveness. Build and fulfil on corporate sponsored community program engagement.

* Program & Project Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of community projects and programs, ensuring they meet the needs of the community, expectations of key stakeholders, and the objectives of the Club and Foundation.

* Budget Oversight: Build and manage program budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and compliance with funding requirements.

* Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary liaison between Community Affairs/Foundation and key stakeholders, including community leaders, corporate sponsors, and Club business operations. Build and maintain quality relationships across the organization and through the community.

* Communication: Ensure effective communication of CA/ABF/HLAF goals and objectives, programs and initiatives, processes, planning and events, and reporting on overall impact.

* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of community relations professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues on fundraising, operations and communications to drive forward departmental, Culture Team and organizational priorities.

* Event Coordination: Oversee planning and execution of community events and outreach initiatives, including but not limited to program events, game-day initiatives, ribbon cuttings, youth clinics, and volunteer engagement opportunities.

* Impact Measurement: Develop metrics to assess the impact of programs and partnerships, work with IT and other resources to build relevant tools/systems, prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.

* Advocacy and Representation: Serve as a spokesperson for CA/Foundation in certain community settings, promoting its mission and programs.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in community relations, CSR, nonprofit management, program development, preferably in professional sports or a related industry.

* Proven track record in building and sustaining partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a passion for community engagement.

* Knowledge of community needs and issues, particularly across the Southeastern United States.

* Strong executive presence and business acumen.

* Excellent track record in program development and execution, planning and budgeting skills.

* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Familiarity with fundraising strategies and grant writing is a plus.
