This takes hard work and innovation, and we need more like-minded people on our team.Director, Strategic Alliances (OEMs)We are looking for a Director, Strategic Alliances (OEMs) to join Element Fleet Management in a unique industry and at a rapidly growing organization.The Director, Strategic Alliances will:
  • 40%: Develop, own, manage, automate (over time), and continuously improve data-driven, professional-grade communication materials (documents and dashboards/scorecards). These materials are critical - and leveraged monthly, by this role and others - to manage Element's relationships with OEMs in the U.S. and Canada (e.g. GM, Ford, Toyota, etc.). Collaborate with stakeholders across Element to improve data quality and usage in our materials, to (i) OEMs improve client service levels and (ii) Element improve supply chain revenue.
  • 35%: Develop and manage relationships with counterparts at OEMs in the U.S. and Canada. Support the development and management of Strategic Alliance teammates' relationships with their respective counterparts at OEMs through relationship mapping; supporting quarterly business review meetings; etc. Develop and manage relationships with members of Element's Commercial and Operational teams, to support and coach them on developing and managing their own relationships with appropriate counterparts at OEMs. Ensure the appropriate members of Element's and the OEMs' teams are engaged directly to address opportunities and issues.
  • 15%: Negotiate the commercial terms of certain agreements between Element and OEMs.
  • 10%: Support the global Strategic Alliances leadership team with respect to Element's relationships with OEMs in the U.S. and Canada. Co-ordinate with other Element regions to ensure alignment on goals and objectives with respect to each OEM globally; and provide sufficient reporting to the global Strategic Alliances leadership team to oversee same.QualificationsEducation and Experience
    • Undergraduate degree, preferably in an intuitively relevant field of study.
    • Master's degree preferred, but not essential.
    • 7+ years' work experience in demonstrably relevant roles and/or industries.
    • People management experience would be an asset.Knowledge and Competencies
      • Interest in, and resulting knowledge of, automobiles (brands, makes, models) available in the U.S. and Canada.
      • Deep knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Excel are essential. Candidates should enjoy the rigor, patience, and attention to detail required to produce professional-grade work in both programs.
      • Knowledge of MS PowerBI and/or other reporting/score-carding tools would be an asset.
      • Previous experience managing complex, multi-faceted business relationships is a must; a proven ability to increase the value of those relationships over time would be an asset.
      • Experience coordinating multiple internal stakeholders in support of, and conducting, effective commercial negotiations would be an asset.
      • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and curious/inquisitive nature are necessities.
      • Project management experience, or project-based work experience, would be an asset.
      • Experience automating MS document production would be an asset.The hiring base salary range for this position is $124,600 - $171,380 CAD annually.
