For further information on RIF, please visit: www.rif.org Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time DescriptionJob Summary: The Director, Strategic Partnerships serves as an integral member of the Programs and Account Management team contributing ideas, strategy, insights, and operational expertise to advance the corporate sponsor and foundation portfolio and overall fundraising goals of RIF. The Director, Strategic Partnerships supports RIF's portfolio of corporate sponsors, serving as a relationship manager independently managing accounts and overseeing project implementation. The position works collaboratively with colleagues throughout the organization to deliver on partner commitments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves in account service role, providing day-to-day relationship management and managing the fulfillment, renewal and continued growth of assigned corporate and foundation partner portfolio. Leads donor solicitation, stewardship, communication, and issue resolution for assigned accounts, with the support of two team members.
- Supports growth strategies for new and existing accounts by building a defined donor strategy for this portfolio of relationships under the supervision of the Vice President of Programs. Seeks ways to broaden and expand partner support across philanthropic giving, cause marketing, and employee engagement to build holistic partnerships in support of RIF's mission. Actively solicits six to seven-figure gifts from assigned accounts, responsible for meeting annual personal fundraising targets in support of organization's operating revenue goals.
- Works cross-functionally to develop and implement customized activations for partners to align a company's key business objectives with RIF's priorities.
- Prepares grants, presentations/proposals, budgets, and other requests to solicit financial support.
- Oversees team members to ensure gift acknowledgements and other stewardship documents are created and delivered in a timely manner.
- Supports project management of corporate and philanthropic grants, ensuring each project is scheduled, launched and executed fluidly, engaging key internal/external stakeholders to meet deliverables, and generating final reports.
- Maintains accurate data and reports progress regularly creating and managing appropriate tracking system for reporting activities.
- Provides support to the Vice President of Programs and other leaders on the team as requested.
- Key Outcomes
- Manage a personal portfolio of 10-15 active Corporate and Foundation Partners.
- Responsible for stewarding and growing $2-3 million annually in support of the Development team's revenue goals.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field plus equivalent work experience
- 7+ years development and marketing experience
- Strong communications skills
- Experience managing donor relationships
- Experience implementing comprehensive giving programs
- In-depth experience working with constituent management database systems
- Experience leading and participating in cross functional projects and teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Work Environment: The job operates in a hybrid office work environment with regular remote work at RIF Office and remote work at home office.
- Travel Requirements: Travel up to 50%
- Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role. Physical requirements include operating standard office equipment. Communicating orally with stakeholders, management, direct reports, and other co-workers is essential. Regular use of the telephone, computer and e-mail for communication is essential. Continuous typing and viewing of a computer screen required.
