Job Summary:
Directs the operation of extracurricular programs and services for students, identifies and implements strategies for increasing student use of services and involvement in programs, and provides managerial oversight and coordination of Student Union, bookstore and gift shop staff.
Education & Experience
Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Personnel or similar area and five of experience in a higher education setting, or bachelor's degree in business or similar field with seven years of experience in a higher education setting. Experience must include working with student activities and at least of two years of supervisory experience. Experience in an academic medical center preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of regulatory requirements as well as issues relating to institution wide student services. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, achieve objectives with deadlines and perform effectively under varying conditions. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative supervisory working relationship with faculty, staff, administration and students. Ability to effectively manage a budget.
Responsibilities
* Directs operations of the Norman C. Nelson Student Union, inclusive of convention and meeting spaces, liaison to food contractor and wellness center/gymnasium.
* Directs operations of campus bookstore and gift shops.
* Serves as Institutional liaison to individual schools' student affairs offices and student interface for Title IX compliance; manages all student communications and student complaint system; supervises Associated Student Body functions; directs production of the Yearbook and Murmur student publication
* Chairs Student Affairs Council
