The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for leading the USA Supply Chain & Regulatory Team. The purpose of the USA team is to provide high levels of service to our USA customers and to work as part of our Global supply chain team to ensure our Global supply chain is set up to provide the appropriate levels of service and responsiveness for our USA customers. This role is responsible for continuously supplying finished goods from multiple sources to meet customer service and inventory level goals and objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the supply function for No7 Beauty Company USA:This role will have responsibility for USA customer service level, demand, and supply planning management of physical supply chain infrastructure via 3PLogistics providers (distribution, imports, warehousing), supply chain setup, and inventory optimization in conjunction with the GB supply team.Work with and manage USA and Global stakeholders to ensure that the USA supply chain strategy meets the needs of the business and can be implemented in conjunction with other business functions.Develop appropriate relationships throughout the business and with external parties, with a high degree of professionalism to lead and improve business performance.Lead the USA supply & regulatory team of 8. Create a high-performing team that works cross-functionally; demonstrates clarity in communication and is appropriately resourced and skilled.Own the USA supply chain development implementation plan. Support the development of the Global brands' supply chain transformation plan.Own and improve the financial accountability for all operational costs and be comfortable managing P&L from a USA supply chain perspective.Work collaboratively with the USA supply chain strategy team to support the development of change plans that deliver the GB growth ambition in the USA. Lead the development of implementation releases for the US and the delivery of these within the USA business.Champion and lead the S&OP process within the USA. Work collaboratively with the GB S&OP team to develop and implement improvements to the current process both in the USA and globally.Lead the USA S&OP process ensuring high levels of cross-functional engagement and support for the process in the USA. Key relationships exist with US commercial, finance, brand, & sales and marketing teams. Ensure new GB-led processes and system improvements are embedded in the business.Develop talent, tailoring projects for growth, identifying opportunities for exposure, and providing ongoing feedback to create a culture of continuous improvement.Research and learn from external supply best practices through professional networks and relationships and lead the thinking on how these can be applied to ensure that Global Brands Supply Chain can deliver industry-leading service to WBA trading businesses and external partners.Provide local leadership to all regulatory compliance activities which consists of:WERCs registration, MOCRA compliance, FDA compliance, horizon scanning, and NPD.Responsible for reviewing compliance of No7 Beauty Company products sold in the USA and Canada, including OTC and DIN products.Responsible for supporting the Regulatory Team in defending regulatory challenges in the USA and Canada, and supporting USA Legal on class actions, protecting No7 Beauty Company brands, and obtaining the most favorable outcome, and aligning with the Global Claims team about claim-related challenges.A bit about you…Functional: 10+ years of supply chain management within an FMCG manufacturer or retailer.Business Sector: CPG/FMCG/retail.People Management: Will be an experienced line manager and be highly skilled in working in a project environment involving cross-functional work.Track Record/Relevant Achievements: Will have a proven track record of success in supply management and experience in delivering in a project environment.Appropriate experience of working in an international environment/understanding of cultural differences.Value-Based Decision Making: Understanding of importance of optimizing value and the generation of issues and alternatives to find value maximizing solutions.Experience in managing cost optimization programs and P&L management for operational costs.Graduate with relevant supply chain development experience within retail/FMCG industries.Experience in managing high-performing teams and working cross-functionally.Experience in managing and working to a budget with a track record of delivery.Digitally fluent; comfortable working at a distance using collaboration and communication tools.Ability to lead supply chain and business systems projects.An excellent communicator, building relationships with internal stakeholders across cultural, geographical and language barriers.Experienced in process development and change management.A bit about us…We are No7 Beauty Company, a division of Walgreens Boots Alliance, a modern consumer goods company with a purpose, that combines the best of traditional companies with the vibrancy and pace of a new digital-first business.
