Job Description:

The Director, Technical Product Management is responsible for building innovative, human-centric solutions that bring value to current customers, capture the buyer of tomorrow and move CAQH to the forefront of the industry.

This is a full-time, exempt, remote position.

Base Salary Range: $175,000 - $195,000 annually.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical components of the product lifecycle from planning process hand off through development, execution, launch and placement with customers.
  • Act as the technical product lead for new and existing products; work with cross-functional teams to forward definition and development of new products that align with the organizational strategy.
  • Drive the maintenance, growth, and retirement of assigned new and existing products.
  • Support user persona workflows and solution journey maps.
  • Create and manage the technical product roadmap for assigned solutions, including the overall prioritization of product enhancements requested by internal and external stakeholders in alignment with organizational objectives and collaboration with internal functional areas.
  • Execute NLO Business Roadmaps and goals as determined by Strategic Product Management teams.
  • Ensure readiness for PI execution and prepare for subsequent PIs in annual cycle.
  • Interface with Technology/UX to decompose features and functionality that deliver value outlined in the strategic business case.
  • Support new product launch initiatives (pilots, PoC, etc.) in conjunction with Strategic Product Management and Enterprise Strategy teams.
  • Track KPIs aligned to business cases and annual plan.
  • Monitor team velocity and maturity of agile processes to support resource and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with Technical (PMO, InfoSec, Tech Ops, and Architecture) teams to support the execution of the technical roadmaps for NLO and LO plans.
  • Support Account Management and Marketing in the development and implementation of a company-wide customer satisfaction process, including CSAT and NPS processes.
  • Promote leading healthcare industry and technical infrastructure thinking, cultivate new ideas, foster innovation, provide subject matter expertise across settings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise 4-6 Product Leads, Product Managers and Product Consultants.

Skills:

  • Possess a deep knowledge of health plan and provider business needs, healthcare solutions, trends and CAQH competitors.
  • Demonstrate an ability manage solution P&L and grow profit margins.
  • Exhibit an ability to develop and manage product lifecycles to meet ROI and profitability expectations.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with participating organizations, providers, user workgroups and advisory committees, and business and technical stakeholders using their terminology.
  • Possess a broad set of influencing skills (ability to influence people and strategic direction without direct control and/or authority).
  • Manage teams and work collaboratively and effectively across matrixed organizations using diplomacy.
  • Demonstrate proven excellent interpersonal skills with strong and persuasive oral and written communication skills, including executive presentations.
  • Deliver innovative solutions and services within the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Office 365 and PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence).
  • Collaborate with IT to produce LOEs and forecast delivery timelines, right size scrum teams.
  • Manage initiative scope, risk, and dependencies throughout PDLC.
  • Own end to end execution of 1-year roadmap and drive and measure outcomes based on business value.
  • Develop and execute an LO 18-month roadmap.
  • Support user advisory groups, focusing on usage analysis, Solution adoption, and other feedback measures.
  • Support new product launch (Pilots, PoC).
  • Communicate business plans and priorities clearly and concisely with business and technical stakeholders using their primary terminology.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively across matrix organizations in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Experience:

  • 8+ years in healthcare specifically directly working for health plans or providers in an operational or product development role.
  • 5+ years in product development / product management in healthcare with a proven business focus in growing products and services.
  • 5+ years supervising product management staff.
  • Experienced in collaborating in software development lifecycles and maintenance activities and methods including a background in SaFE and Pragmatic Marketing.

Education:

  • Degree in healthcare administration, public health, or technology disciplines preferred.
  • SaFe and/or Pragmatic certifications preferred.
