The George Washington University Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) Division is seeking a Director, Volunteer Leadership Engagement for Health and Medicine. DAR is responsible for leading the university's external constituent and fundraising efforts and seeks to promote a culture of philanthropy throughout the university community, including alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, corporations and foundations, patients, and other friends.
Our goal is to advance GW's mission of excellence in education, research, scholarship, and patient care. The Director, Volunteer Leadership Engagement for Health and Medicine is a key leadership position within the Health and Medicine Development Team, which represents the Schools of Medicine and Health Sciences, Nursing and Public Health, and the DAR's Volunteer Engagement team. This position works in close partnership with the Associate Vice President of Development, Health & Medicine, and the university's Executive Director of Volunteer Leadership Engagement to reshape and build leadership volunteer structure and volunteerism within the Health and Medicine enterprise including building strong volunteer councils with members who have influence and affluence.
Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Health & Medicine, this position:
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 6 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree in a relevant area of study plus 4 years of relevant experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
