POSITION TITLE: Director, Wraparound Services
DEPARTMENT: Wraparound Services/Student Services and Enrollment Management
PRIMARY LOCATION: Fall River, with occasional travel to all Bristol campus locations.
REPORTS TO: Associate Vice President, Student Success
POSITION STATUS: This is a full-time, non-unit position with benefits, some nights and weekends required.
SALARY: Hiring Salary Range $99,144.00 - $104,163.17*
* Hiring salary commensurate with education and experience.
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Full-time and part-time unit and non-unit staff in several functional areas including, but not limited to: Mental Health Counseling, Office of Accessibility & Disability Services, Basic Needs Support, Bristol Mobile Food Market, and the Parenting Pathways program.
STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Director, Wraparound Services provides strategic vision, administrative direction, and direct supervision to the areas of Student Wraparound Services. Leading the implementation of a newly-formed area within Student Services and Enrollment Management, the Director will serve as the college's expert on promising practices, emerging trends, and industry standards related to student support and student success outcomes. The Director engages in active collaboration across the institution to develop policies, processes, and support services with the primary objective of supporting student persistence, retention, and completion. The Director fosters innovation, creativity, and enthusiasm in creating student-ready practices and a culture of assessment and continuous improvement
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy, Collaboration, & Student Success:
* Lead, plan, and implement comprehensive/wraparound student support services in accordance with clinical and evidence-based strategies that address areas of student need; implement a holistic case management approach to wraparound services that provides individualized student support.
* Create and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for student wraparound services for all Bristol campus locations with strategic goals, student learning outcomes, and key performance indicators; engage in continual assessment and improvement of institutional progress.
* Collaborate with SSEM leadership to provide consultation in the area of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) including, but not limited to, informing DEIB strategy for the division, facilitating and educating the Bristol community about equitable access to resources and support services, and providing recommendations on equity-centered student-facing policies and procedures.
* Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals and objectives that align with the institutional strategic plan.
* Implement technological resources (e.g., student success/advising platform, Maxient) that scale, amplify, and measure the effectiveness of wraparound services, in partnership with Information Technology Services.
* Collaborate with the Associate Vice President and other stakeholders to provide an integrated referral system to ensure students receive the appropriate support services to best meet their individualized needs.
* Lead the Student Outreach, Assistance, and Retention (SOAR) Team; serve as point of contact for inquiries and referrals to the SOAR Team including direct contact with students, families, faculty, and staff.
* Collaborate with the Advancement Office to develop and expand opportunities for financial support to meet urgent student needs including but not limited to grants, fundraising, community partnerships, and management of the Bristol CARE Fund.
* Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Basic Needs Security programs and initiatives; pursue community partnerships that support Basic Needs Security for students.
* Serve on the college's Threat Assessment Team.
* Foster collaborative relationships across the institution with key partners, including, but not limited to Academic Affairs, Advising & Success, Financial Aid, and Student.
* Engagement & Belonging to promote student success and increase student persistence and retention.
* Develop relationships with community programs and agencies to further student support and success.
* Develop and implement a communication strategy to increase knowledge, awareness, understanding and accessibility of wraparound services among students, faculty, and staff.
* Create, maintain, update, and document student-ready policies, processes, and operating procedures that create efficiencies and remove barriers to student success.
Assessment, Reporting, & Grant Management:
* Prepare and monitor annual operational budgets for all departmental programs and activities. Serve as the principal investigator (PI) for assigned grants. Collaborate with Strategic Analytics, Institutional Research, and Grant Accounting to compile all budget and outcomes reports related to assigned grants.
* Collaborate with the Advancement Office to actively pursue grants to support wraparound services, including but not limited to areas of DEIB, mental health, disability support, accessibility services, and basic needs.
* Monitor, evaluate, analyze and enhance operational effectiveness and implement changes as required for continuous improvement. Develop measurable outcomes and benchmarks for improvement in service delivery.
* Develop a standard mechanism for collecting data related to wraparound case management in order to assess the effectiveness of the services provided as they relate to retention and persistence.
* Engage in meaningful data analysis including disaggregation of student data in order to assess equitable outcomes for students. Provide timely reports and analysis to various internal stakeholders, including but not limited to the President's Leadership Team, Student Services and Enrollment Leadership Team, Academic Leadership Team, and Strategic Analytics and Institutional Research.
Leadership & Administration:
* Provide strategic vision, administrative direction, and direct supervision to wraparound services at all Bristol locations.
* Provide leadership and management to area personnel to include hiring and selection, subject matter training, support, coaching, performance evaluation, development, workforce planning, and
* identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, all while fostering a positive workplace culture.
* Lead the implementation and evaluation of various wraparound initiatives including, but not limited to: JED Campus, Healthy Minds, Christie Campus Health, Mental Health First Aid, Bristol Mobile Food Market, and Parenting Pathways.
* Maintain current professional knowledge about promising practices, emerging trends, and industry standards related to student wraparound services; actively engage with professional organizations to stay current on professional development.
* Serve on various leadership councils for Student Services and Enrollment Management; lead and serve on various college committees, as needed.
* Ensure departmental policies, procedures, and protocols are in compliance with local, state, and federal policies and guidelines.
* Conduct regular staff and supervisory meetings, as well as opportunities for training and professional development for staff members.
* Use Bristol's digital communication tools, including but not limited to email, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media tools to advance Bristol's social media outreach and brand.
* Demonstrate a sense of professionalism and consistently reflect Bristol's core values while interacting with members of the Bristol community.
* Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, all required qualifications must be met by date of hire.
* Minimum of a Master's degree in higher education, counseling, social work, public health, or related field.*
* Progressive leadership, administrative and supervisory experience, with a minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in student affairs, student services, or an enrollment management area within higher education. *
* *An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience shall be considered.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop programming of person-centered, holistic, and coordinated services in support of students and individuals with diverse needs that includes basic needs, resource sharing, advocacy, assessment, and counseling services while ensuring these are culturally competent, sensitive to unique needs, and outcomes focused.
* Demonstrated ability to hire, lead, manage, coach, support, train, and evaluate support staff.
* Successful history of collaboration with other areas of the institution to build effective relationships, particularly with Advising & Success, Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, and Information Technology Services.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and organization skills that reflect inclusiveness, adaptiveness, and flexibility.
* Demonstrated commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for all students through upholding the community college mission and serving the needs of first-generation and historically excluded populations.
* Demonstrated commitment to embracing and serving the needs of a diverse community, including the ability to work effectively with a diverse student body, faculty, and staff.
* Demonstrated proficiency with student information systems and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
* Prior budget management experience.
* Reliable transportation in order to travel to and from meetings, trainings, or campus and community locations as required.
* Ability to work occasional nights and/or weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Licensure in social work (LICSW, LCSW, LSW) or counseling (LMHC) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
* Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience.
* Prior supervisory experience in a collective bargaining environment.
* Prior experience working at a multi-campus community college.
* Demonstrated knowledge of holistic case management model that supports student success.
* Prior grant management experience.
* Experience working with one or more of the following software packages: Ellucian Banner, Degree Works, Maxient, Slate, Blackboard, Argos, and EAB/Navigate.
* Ability to communicate in a language in addition to English.
