We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips.Expected work schedule for the Ohio State Discipleship Coordinator:Full- or part-time, flexible scheduleOccasional evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projectsAttendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff RetreatsPay structure for an Ohio State Discipleship Coordinator:Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expensesTraining is provided to develop a team of ministry partnersPay range is typically between $25,709 and $80,000 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factorsPaid vacation, sick, holidays, and more (once eligible)Health benefits (medical, dental, and vision) for eligible staffFlexible hours and work-from-home availabilityWork for a growing Christian organizationStaff care to support mental, social, and spiritual health for all staffAbout the area and Responsibilities of an Ohio State Discipleship Coordinator:The overall role of the Discipleship Coordinator is to ensure the campus ministry is discipling international students. They will track and coordinate activities like Bible study groups, 1-1 discipleship, and the annual student retreat. A successful person in this role will foster thriving and cooperative relationships with team members in the Central Ohio IFI location. This position is part of the Central Ohio ministry team and requires the candidate to live in or near Columbus, OH.The Discipleship Coordinator will (list not all inclusive):Ensure campus ministry ministers make discipleship and engagement a priorityTrack campus ministry time spent on discipleship and analyze dataCollaborate with other ministry organizations, churches, and ministry workers to enhance the spiritual growth of international studentsWork with campus ministry staff to ensure follow-up of attendeesDevelop and maintain financial and prayer partnerships for the budgeted needs of the roleTake part in direct ministry at an IFI location, such as leading bible study or attending eventsQualifications needed of a Discipleship Coordinator, including Spiritual Characteristics:Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policiesIs faithful, loyal and dedicated to IFI's mandate from the Lord to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international students out of reverence for JesusGodly character that follows the examples defined in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1Well organized with excellent attention-to-detail, planning, and execution skillsBe a self-starter, able to work independently, as well as a team player, including with diverse populations from different ethnic backgroundsAbility to work under stress and be flexibleProficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applicationsAbility to hold themselves and others accountableEducation/Experience Preferred for a Discipleship Coordinator:Minimum of a Bachelor degreeCertificate-level completion of Perspectives on the World Christian movement is preferred and, if not existent, should be completed within three years of employment with IFI.International Friendships, Inc.
