The Dish Room Team Member serves food and drinks to customers following established guidelines, procedures, and policies for food and beverage safety controls as prescribed by company standards. He or she interacts with customers and staff in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner and rings guest orders, collects cash, and processes credit charges following company policies and procedures. The Dish Room Team Member will cross-train in all operational positions and may help with food preparation and cooking.The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma, at least one year of experience in a food service or restaurant setting, and can work a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Fluent English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans soiled dishes and small wares and returns clean and sanitized dishes to proper locations
- Maintains dish machine, ensures it is operating correctly, reports any defects immediately, and cleans and polishes machine thoroughly on a regular basis
- Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
- Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma preferred
- One year of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Point-of-sale (cash register) and credit or debit card processing skills
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
