Monday – Friday 7am-330pmPay: $17.92/hrReports To: Kitchen Manager/Head ChefJob Summary: The Dishroom Lead is responsible for overseeing the dishwashing and sanitation processes within the kitchen environment. This role includes managing dishroom staff, ensuring cleanliness and organization, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The Dishroom Lead plays a critical role in supporting kitchen operations and upholding high standards of hygiene.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
- Organize Dishroom Operations: Manage the flow of dirty dishes, ensure proper sorting, and maintain organized storage of clean items.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report needs to the Kitchen Manager; assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring the dishroom is a safe environment for all staff.
- Assist in Kitchen Operations: Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow and timely dish availability.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to maintain cleanliness and organization within the dishroom.
- Handle Equipment: Operate dishwashing machinery and perform basic maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items no more than 50%.
- Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and varying levels of cleanliness.
