Location: Galveston,TX, USA
The Steward is responsible for performing all phases of kitchen cleaning to maintain safe and sanitary conditions while under the Steward's supervision.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all breakdown, feed, catch and proper sorting of all china, silverware and glassware as it is brought to the Dish Room
Wash pots and pans and properly sort and store them on the pot shelves
Clean walls, ceilings, baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards
Sweep and mop all floors
Remove trash from the kitchen areas to the Trash Room
Polish silver, glass and brass in all outlets as needed
Clean and maintain dish machines in all outlets
Wash kettle pots on hot line as needed
Responsible for cleaning loading dock bay area with pressure washer
inventory china, glass, silver and linen
Inform Steward of needed supplies
Qualifications:
Prior experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects
Strong people skills
Communication skills including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Minimum age is 18 years old
