Local Goat NON-EXEMPT POSITION DESCRIPTIONPosition Title: DishwasherAccountable to: Manager Objectives of Position To provide guests and employees with clean utensils, plateware, glassware and equipment.Essential Functions•To provide guests and employees with clean utensils, plateware, glassware and equipment.•Ensure dishes are sanitized and available as needed.•Set up dish machine and close down dish machine according to procedures.•Maintain daily cleanliness and maintenance of dish machine.•Accommodates all servers and line cooks requests as a priority.•Keeps entire kitchen clean by sweeping, mopping floors and emptying trash•Wash plateware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans and kitchen utensils according to sanitation and cleaning guidelines.•Operates and maintains equipment properly. Trouble shoots dish machine malfunctions.•Place clean plateware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans, and kitchen utensils in specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.•Clean and maintain back dock area, trash cans, mop sinks. Clean, sanitize and line all trash cans on a daily basis.•Mops all front of the house floors and cleans all restrooms every morning; cleans all parking lots, sidewalks, outside patio area daily.•Strictly adheres to all food and work safety policies and procedures.•Washes hands frequently, wears gloved hands while handling food.•Keeps immediate supervisor aware of all issues or problems of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary.•Performs all duties in a timely manner in accordance with established company policies.•Maintains a favorable working condition with fellow employees and managers: promotes a positive and cooperative work environment, which is conducive to maximize employee morale, productivity, and efficiency.•At all times provides a favorable image of Billy Goat Tavern to promote its aims and objectives; and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance in all of its areas of endeavor.Nonessential Functions•Performs other duties and responsibilities without being asked.•Works as a team player by assisting other kitchen employees with duties as necessary or when the shift becomes exceedingly busy.•Performs all necessary cleaning duties.Accountabilities Must be able to perform multiple tasks while maintaining standards of operation in daily activities. Must also be able to perform duties that ensure guest satisfaction and control supply costs. Must follow handling and sanitation procedures and use extreme caution with utensils, plateware, glassware, and equipment to avoid breakage. Ensures positive employee morale.Qualification Standards
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
•Must be neatly dressed and well groomed in accordance with the company uniform and appearance policies.•Lifts and carries items up to 70lbs. frequently; placing these items on high shelves and in walk in freezers•Works frequently in a hot, damp environment. Works 75% indoor and 25% outdoors•Hazards of the position include but are not limited to: cuts from broken glass, equipment, metal or china, burns slipping and tripping.•Stand and moves for 6 - 8 hour shift.•Uses hands 99% of the time.•Must be able to complete all training steps and knowledge checks.•Must be able to communicate in enough English as required by the position.•Reaches, bends, stoops, shakes, stirs, and wipes.•Must be able to hear well in a loud environment.•Frequent immersion of hands in hot water, detergents and sanitizer.If you need any accommodation from the company to enable you to perform essential job functions, please let us know.
