Role and Responsibilities: No Experience - No Problem! We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Galley; cafeteria on military installation Dishwasher. As the Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen.
- Wash and dry dishes, pots and utensils.
- Wash and dry glassware and other implements by hand when necessary.
- Utilize a high-pressure wand to remove food particles from dishes.
- Rinse dishes in hot water and chemical sanitizer - following MSDS procedures associated with the chemical.
- Empty and clean all trash receptacles.
- Follow sanitation policies.
- Help prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times.
- Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately.
- Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party.
- Take the temperature of Dish Machine.
- Clean Dish Machine - clean grease dispenser daily.
- Put away clean dishes into cabinets and on shelves.
- Dishwashers may be asked to support other areas of the Galley.
Qualifications Requirements:
- No experience needed but dishwashing experience (Preferred)
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and equipment is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, gran and lift up to fifty (25) lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift.
