Position Summary: Provide assistance and support in all food functions including preparation, processing, delivery to patients, etc. as directed/instructed and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested
- Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays
- Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
- Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, wipe down storage areas, etc.)
- Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
- Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
- Collect and carry out garbage
- Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information
