We are looking for a dishwasher to join our team!
As a dishwasher at Pizzeria Verità, you're an important member of the team and essential to the smooth operation of our busy restaurant. Throughout your shift, you'll be operating the dish machine, ensuring clean plates and utensils for our guests, and sparkling bowls, tools and machines for your cook colleagues. You'll also perform an assortment of food preparation, to help us get a head start on the following day's prep.
You are dependable, punctual and hard-working, with an attention to detail and a desire to do your job the right way. With previous experience as a dishwasher, you can manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Be a helpful presence in the restaurant, taking dirty dishes back to the dish machine and returning clean plates to the food preparation areas
Monitor the cleanliness of plates, bowls and utensils after they've been run through the dishwasher to make sure they're up to our restaurant's standards
Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, labeling and dating stored foods, keeping track of old and new items and rotating stock
Prep and prepare food and ingredients according to recipes and instructions from the Chef
Maintain clean and safe work areas in the kitchen
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a dishwasher preferred
ServeSafe or Food Handler's certification (or must be willing to attain)
Effective communication skills
Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
Ability to work standing for 6+ hours
