Saint Joseph's College, located on Sebago Lake, has openings in Pearson's Café! The goal of Food Services is to model a sense of campus community through interactions between our chefs, food operations staff, and student employees that are both collaborative and cooperative. Our shared focus is to nourish the body and soul of our students through the food we serve. The Dishwasher position plays a key role within the Pearson's team by:
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by cleaning all cookware, small wares and items used in the production and serving of food
- Practicing cleaning-as-you-go and established cleaning procedures
- Exercising safe techniques and practices regarding interaction with the environment, equipment, food products, chemicals and people
- Ensuring utensils, plates, glasses, etc, are plentiful for guests without sacrificing cleanliness;
This role will also assist Chefs with basic preparation of food and will be cross trained to work various food service stations.Food Operations maintains a high standard for safety and sanitation by supporting the Safety Manual guidelines, providing training sessions across culinary topics, and adhering to all Health Department, OSHA and ADA regulations. ServSafe certified equivalent certificate in proper sanitation procedures and safe food handling, must provide valid certification within 120 days.This position has night and weekend hours, with flexible scheduling and is a Per Diem position.
