Clean and sanitize all dishes and silverware used by guests and all kitchen equipment. Keep kitchen and banquet areas clean and sanitized. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:
- Prepares tableware for washing, i.e. scrapes plates, pre-soak silverware, places all items to be washed in their proper dishwasher rack
- Sets up dishwashing machine, i.e. drains closed, tanks filled, temperatures at correct level, detergent at proper level
- Washes, stacks and stores china in appropriate kitchen area
- Thoroughly cleans dishwashing equipment and working areas
- Collects all soiled pots, washes and restocks cleaned pots on shelves
- Responsible for all removal of garbage and refuse
- Mops and sweeps floors
- Washes walls and ceiling tiles
- Sanitizes all cooking equipment
- If 18 years of age, performs the duties of a Food Server, Server Assistant, Cashier/Host, or Cook in the Grill outlet as needed to include Banquet functions
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: Required
- Must be 16 years of age
- Must have speed and accuracy in order to maintain maximum efficiency
- Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
- Must be able to function both independently and as a member of a team
- A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment
Preferred
- General knowledge of cleaning processes and cleaning chemicals
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
- Must have basic English communication skills
- Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
- Stand and walk for up to eight hours
- Able to tolerate areas with high temperatures in excess f 115 degrees near dish machine
- No known allergic reaction to cleaning chemicals
- Able to operate the dish machine
- Able to push carts, pull, reach, bend, stoop and stack racks of dishes and silverware
- Must be able to meet the level three or medium work requirements based on the Department of Labor Dictionary of Titles: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly
