The ideal candidate will utilize their excellent communication skills to dispatch drivers, coordinate equipment maintenance, and work closely with the rest of the Transportation team to best serve our clients. The Dispatch Coordinator will be able to efficiently utilize the equipment available to them to create a smooth-running, efficient system. The Dispatch Coordinator should be able to adapt to issues as they arise in a fast-paced transportation environment. The ideal candidate should have experience in customer facing roles and should be able to research customer inquiries and propose solutions to internal and external partners.Works in tandem with our TMS (OTM) to dispatch all Company drivers, coordinate as needed with common carriers, establish/confirm routes as needed and contact customers for scheduling backhaul loads as needed.Understands all Mutual Materials policies pertaining to drivers and dispatchers and ensures they are followed. Including but not limited to federal HOS policies, EROAD (ELD)* and Pre- and Post-trip inspections, driver training and accident reporting.Develop and maintain good relationships and open communication with customers, employees, Company Drivers, management, sales teams, and regulatory agencies.Ability to take after hours / weekend calls.Be able to maintain the technical record keeping requirements on an accurate and current basis.Be able to read, analyze and interpret driver, dispatch, and load reports.Maximize delivery efficiencies and driver safety through proper load spreading in load creation to minimize handling of product.Review and correct orders in error.KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTSQualifications2+ years of logistics/supply chain, Dispatching, Transportation, or Business experience.OTM knowledge with query exposure preferred.Experience in trucking operations.Excellent problem-solving, task prioritization, follow up and customer service skills.Possess demonstrated proficiency with a PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and dispatching software.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to demonstrate a professional mannerism in a customer service-oriented environment.Highly organized and effective at follow-up and follow-through of assigned task with minimal supervision.Must work well within a team environment, being flexible to assist and support others as requests and workload vary.BenefitsHealth BenefitsMedical/Prescription CoverageVision CoverageDental Coverage401k Retirement PlanFlexible Spending Account (FSA) available.Health Savings Account (HSA) available, with company contributions.Paid Time Off - Holiday Pay, Sick Pay, and Vacation Time AccrualPaid sick time accrual available after 90 days.Paid vacation time accrual, 40 hours available at 6 months.Paid Holidays - 10 scheduled holidays a year.Life Insurance - $60,000 policy at no cost to the employeeVoluntary Benefits: Accident, Critical Illness, Life, and Long-Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) - At no cost to the employee
