Job Summary: The Dispatch Assistant assists the Dispatcher with monitoring routes and resources such as vehicles and equipment, to efficiently manage traffic in operations. Essential Job Functions: Enters data into TMW and communicates dispatch information over PeopleNet Supports dispatch with the audit of TMW for billing and payroll Assembles, records and correctly communicates daily logistic reports Compiles trend analysis data for route dispatch and reports deviations internally and externally Monitors transportation assignments for route compliance Communicate logistics data when customers inquire if dispatchers not available Devise solutions for logistic shortfalls Receives and distributes driver trip paperwork for processing Answer the phone in a professional manner Reports producer and customer inquiries promptly to management Other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to the company random drug and alcohol program Proficient in basic computer skills, Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace Communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of internal and external staff Manage multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities Ability to work any schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Preferred: Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA regulations or the transportation industry Entry level knowledge of TMW software Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential function of this job. Work Environment: The duties of this job are performed in both an office environment, a commercial motor vehicle terminal environment, and outdoors, thereby experiencing some minor to moderate level of noise due to office/CMV equipment.
