Position: Customer Service/Dispatch
Purpose: To work closely with Customers in the management of their freight to ensure shipments are moved in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating and managing customer freight through the use of various transportation management systems (TMS).• Scheduling of freight to picked up and delivered• Providing shipping details to customers• Negotiating rates and delivery times as required• Handling customer inquiries• Safely dispatch freight per Company parameters• Tracking and tracing of customer freight. Monitor shipments as necessary• Provide Proof of Delivery for all shipments
Responsible to negotiate rates with carriers within the parameters of the company. • Rate Negotiation• Approved Capacity Procurement
Responsible for accurate input in the TMS system • Entering loads accurately • Acquiring capacity to cover loads• Providing documentation to drivers and carriers as required.

Requirements:• High School Diploma or Equivalent• Freight dispatching experience is a plus• Customer Service experience a must• Understanding of freight transportation is necessary• Proficient in online data entry. TMS experience is a plus.• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.• Flexibility to work nights or weekends as needed.
