Summary:The Navy Expeditionary Medical Support Command (NEMSCOM), Cheatham Annex (CAX), Williamsburg, Virginia, is responsible for the design, production, life-cycle management, deployment, and operational readiness of United States (U.S.) Navy DEPMEDS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage Dispatch Operations: Oversee daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient coordination of transportation and logistics services.
Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of dispatchers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Compliance: Ensure all dispatch activities comply with DoD regulations, policies, and security protocols.
Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including DoD personnel, contractors, and vendors, to ensure seamless operations.
Scheduling: Develop and maintain dispatch schedules, optimizing resource allocation to meet program requirements.
Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on dispatch activities, performance metrics, and any incidents or issues.
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues or emergencies that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Technology Utilization: Utilize dispatch software and other technology tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in operations.
Safety and Security: Implement and enforce safety and security measures in all dispatch activities.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in dispatch management, preferably within a federal or DoD environment.
Secret Clearance required

Proficiency in dispatch software and other relevant technology.
In-depth knowledge of DoD regulations and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Relevant certifications in logistics or dispatch management.
Experience: Previous experience working directly with DoD contracts or programs.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with DoD-specific dispatch and logistics software.
