Dispatch Supervisor Rochester, NY NOW HIRING A DISPATCH SUPERVISOR FOR AN IMMEDIATE FULL-TIME JOB OPPORTUNITY! STARTING SALARY OF $22.00 AN HOUR OR MORE BASED ON EXPERIENCE! We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented EMS Dispatch Supervisor to lead our emergency communications team. As an EMS Dispatch Supervisor, you will manage daily operations within the dispatch center, ensure efficient and timely response to emergency calls, and supervise a team of EMS dispatchers. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience in emergency medical services and dispatch systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise EMS Dispatch Operations: Oversee the daily activities of EMS dispatchers, ensuring that emergency calls are responded to quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Team Leadership: Provide direction, training, and performance evaluations for dispatch personnel. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
- Monitor Dispatch Systems: Ensure proper use of communication and dispatch technology, including CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems, radios, and other emergency response systems.
- Quality Control: Review call logs and recordings to ensure adherence to protocols, accuracy of information, and continuous improvement of dispatch operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with EMS personnel, police, fire departments, and other emergency responders to coordinate seamless communication during emergencies.
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure that all dispatch operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as internal company policies.
- Problem Solving: Quickly assess situations, make informed decisions, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise in the dispatch center.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, staff schedules, and operational performance reports.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in EMS dispatch or emergency communications
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of dispatch systems, including CAD
- Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in high-stress environments
- Certifications such as EMD (Emergency Medical Dispatcher) or EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) are preferred
