DescriptionPurpose of role You are responsible for dispatching commercial motor vehicles to transport freight in inter or intra state commerce between terminals and relay stations of from home terminal to distant point(s) and return. - Direct and dispatch product movements with professional efficiency
- Ensure maximum productivity by achieving or exceeding company-established goals by successfully routing vehicles
- Assign loads to drivers based on designated routes and driver location
- Prepare, update and dispense the daily route schedule
- Consider predicted and real-time scenarios to keep routes efficient and productive
- Schedule, plan and confirm deliveries within all 48 states
- Use our online tracking system to keep an eye on trucks and goods
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with shipments
- Upload various documents to our website
- Preserve excellent relationship with truckers and fleet owners
- Other administrative duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of dispatch experience (in the trucking industry, preferably)
- Previous experience with managing 25+ drivers
- Well versed in state and federal laws on truck driver safety
- Must possess effective communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
Technology & Software Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Windows and proficiency with PC platforms
- Experience in industry specific software a plus
