Overview:
RESPONSIBILITES
- Work in conjunction with the Yard Manager
- Assign drivers and vehicles to deliver orders to job sites
- Confer with customer and/or sales staff to determine delivery time
- Assist drivers and load builders in planning work activities
- Maintain records on all delivery vehicles
- Respond to customer complaints/questions regarding deliveries
- Expedite or locate missing deliveries
- Count damaged or returned material
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Check material for accuracy (Company and customer vehicles)
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of building materials
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Knowledge of loading/unloading/storage requirements
