Who You Are:

A highly motivated individual who takes pride in their work, wants to perform their role in a timely and efficient manner while producing good quality product, and wants to grow in their knowledge and experience while helping the organization to be successful.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Handle all will call customer pickups and ensure paperwork is accurate
• Coordinate routes by examining product dimensions and weight for each order. Ensure compliance with weight limits.
• Identify and evaluate any special requirements for each load.
• Determine the most efficient vehicle for the route completion.
• Coordinate jobsite and truckload deliveries with external customers.
• Communicate with internal customers (CSRs, Project Managers, Sales, and Production Managers) regarding shipments and deliveries.
• Assign the appropriate qualified driver to operate the equipment.
• Provide support to team of drivers.
• Load and drive trucks as needed.
• Special projects as assigned by the Transportation Manager
• Any other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager

Skills You Bring:

• HS Diploma/GED required
• Proficient computer and e-mail skills
• General Knowledge of NC, SC, VA, MD and DC geographical area routing
• CDL Class A required or willing to obtain it
• Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers
• Ability to operate moffett and forklifts
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability up to 75lbs
• Ability to use a tape measure and, accurately measure glass
