Job Description MANAGER/DISPATCHER The manager/dispatcher is the brain of our daily transportation operation. This is a very rewarding and demanding position that requires extreme dedication and long hours. You must be very adaptive, good at problem solving and quick on your feet. DUTIES
- Promote and create a positive work environment for the drivers.
- knowledge of large equipment
- Supports company's mission.
- Empower the drivers to provide the safest and highest quality transportation.
- Provide the driver with all paperwork including directions, itinerary, etc.
- Communicate between destination personnel and drivers of route changes and or any issues, via phone, radio, and email.
- Resolve driver call offs and schedule substitute drivers.
- Working with computer scheduling system.
- Solve any scheduling problems with drivers.
- Answering all customer inquiries, phone calls and emails.
- Properly handle customer complaints and issues.
- Be a happy proactive go-getter making our customers #1.
- Recruit and hire new dispatch candidates.
- Must be able to comply with District, state, and national regulations as they relate to vehicle/dispatch safety.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Knowledge of large equipment
- Patience and ability to work with others
- knowledge of routing and GPS
- Must be able to work with accuracy and with attention to detail.
