Dispatcher / Weighmaster - Seligman, MO SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION About Kemp Quarries Kemp Quarries is a leading producer of construction aggregates, consisting primarily of crushed stone, sand and gravel. These materials are produced mainly from natural deposits of limestone and river sand. Our mining process for crushed stone aggregates typically begins with drilling and blasting the rock into smaller pieces. The material goes through various stages of crushing and screening to produce the sizes and specifications desired by our customers. Our aggregates are used in different ways within the construction industry. As an associate member of the Oklahoma and Arkansas AGC chapters, we work closely with member contractors in providing materials to meet the most stringent needs and state certifications. •As a base material underneath highways, walkways, airport runways, parking lots and railroads. •To help aid in water filtration, purification and erosion control including Type I and Type II Rip Rap. •Used as a raw material in combination with other resources to construct many of the items that we rely on daily. •Houses and apartments; •Roads, bridges and parking lots; •Schools and hospitals; •Commercial buildings and retail space; •Sewer systems; and •Airports and runways. Construction aggregates have formed the underpinnings for many of our cities, towns and transportation networks. Thousands of years ago, civilizations built entire cities with stone, sand and gravel, and many of these ancient structures still exist today. Aggregates are durable, attractive, and can be used in many different applications. On average, every American uses approximately eight tons of aggregates each year. Although our principal product is construction aggregates, Kemp Quarries offers a variety of other state-approved products and services. Kemp Quarries, Inc., a privately-owned group of companies, is a leading producer and supplier of construction aggregates, consisting primarily of crushed stone, sand and gravel spanning Eastern Oklahoma, Southern Missouri and Western Arkansas. Job Requirements:

  • Very reliable work attendance (M - F, 6:30am - 5pm); Saturday 6:30-12 (Off at least one Saturday a month)
  • Capable of working either individually or within small work groups
  • Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills
  • Excellent social skills
  • Possess good phone skills
  • Experience in operating computers and utilizing computer programs
  • Capable of performing the physical, mental and emotional requirements of the job
  • Must be able to accurately make change for cash sales and reconcile petty cash daily
Job Purpose:
  • To perform all work in a safe and professional manner
  • To ensure customer satisfaction through on-time delivery of quality products
  • To adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures
  • To assist in maximizing company productivity and performance
Duties:
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations
  • Self-identify and rectify all safety hazards within the work environment
  • Keep work spaces clean and orderly
  • Operate a computer for generating sales tickets
  • Update computer master files by verifying and entering data
  • Document product orders from customers over the telephone or in person
  • Answer customer questions regarding product application, availability and price
  • Schedules truck delivery of some customer orders by examining destination, route, rate and delivery time
  • Arrange timely product delivery to the customers by dispatching internal or external haulers; relay accurate directions and delivery instructions to haulers
  • Keeps customers informed of shipment time and order status
  • Weighs trucks over truck scale, generates scale tickets, distributes tickets internally and externally
  • Run gradations on materials for QC requirements as needed
