The Dispatcher works to assure safe, cost effective, and on-time performance of third party transportation providers and drivers.Location: RemoteHourly Pay Rate: $16.00 per hourWhat youll do:Assign same day and urgent trips to third party transportation providersOrganize and route trips based on schedule and location to ensure optimal fleet performanceProvide assistance to transportation providers and drivers with issues related to trip performanceDocument and report provider no shows or on-time-performance issuesInform transportation providers of any new trips that occurEstablish and maintain effective communication with transportation providersProvide feedback to leadership and Fleet Management on transportation providers performanceMonitor on-road provision of service for quality and on-time-performanceRoute and Schedule next day and future trips to third party transportation providers daily for assigned regionRoute and schedule trips to transportation providers to ensure vehicle resources are used most efficiently and effectively to meet demandCommunicate and escalate issues with unscheduled trips as appropriateOther duties as assignedWhat youll need:Experience, Education & Certifications:High School Diploma or G.E.D.6 months of customer service experience2+ years in transportation routing, dispatching, and scheduling expertise preferred1 year experience working with the applicable transit scheduling system preferredSkills:Ability to maintain a high level of confidentialityExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of GPS and GIS systems preferredGood organizational skillsDetail orientedAbility to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely mannerSkilled in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft applicationsMust be able to demonstrate effective use of scheduling software, two-way radio communication and data analysis skillsWhats in it for you:Health and Life Insurance PlansDental and Vision Plans401(k) with a company matchPaid Time Off and Holiday PayMaternity/Paternity LeaveCasual Dress EnvironmentTuition ReimbursementMTM Perks Discount ProgramLeadership Mentoring OpportunitiesHourly Rate: $16.00 per hourThis information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data.
