JOB DUTIES, JOB SKILLS, JOB RESPONSIBILITIES \ Comes to work on time every scheduled workday \ Supervises scheduled bus routes, and or special needs routes, and or bus charter routes to ensure they are assigned and completed as scheduled on a daily basis, for designated operational areas or contracts. \ Required to keep confidential and not divulge to any person other than COMPANY management, ALL COMPANY information, ALL Employee information, and or ALL Customer information, received, discussed or informed of, during the execution of the job duties and responsibilities listed in this job description. \ Works directly with school personnel regarding route configuration; and provides information to parents of students pertaining to bus routing as needed or required. \ Assists bus drivers and or bus monitors with issues pertaining to bus routing, vehicle assignment, work assignment, and any other operational issues for assigned operational areas or contracts. \ Provides drivers and monitors required forms, time sheets, driver?s logs, etc.; and directions for route and or pick up locations. \ Assists drivers in the event of emergencies, accidents and or incidents; makes decisions to resolve emergencies, and advises Manager of any such occurrence. \ Answers telephone, takes messages, and takes charter bus reservations. \ Uses COMPANY two-way radio to communicate with bus drivers. \ Maintains route book for driver assignments and customer reservation information, if required to do so. \ Maintains bus driver and bus monitor time sheet records, vehicle mileage records, and other operational records, as directed by Manager. \ May be assigned specific administrative duties; such as: billing and invoicing, or assigning school bus and charter work to drivers, or compiling information for payroll processing, or developing school bus routes for assigned school contracts, or any combination of these functions. \ May be assigned to contact charter customers to confirm reservation information. \ Required to have basic knowledge and ability to use a computer, copier and fax machine. \ May be required to be \ on call\ over a weekend to handle operational issues and or emergencies. \ May be required to drive a scheduled school route, a charter trip, or a non-revenue trip. \ Operates COMPANY vehicles according to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, including speed limits and parking restrictions. \ Completes assigned routes and or charter trips as scheduled. \ Reports any accidents or incidents to Manager as required. \ Successfully completes required driver training programs. \ Maintains all required vehicle driver operating licenses, certificates and endorsements up-to-date and current for vehicle operation. \ Follows all COMPANY policies and procedures. \ Follows all local yard operating procedures. \ Parks assigned vehicle in yard as instructed \ Ensures assigned vehicle is clean of debris after the end of each work day. \ Completes required pre-trip and post trip inspections. \ Reports any vehicle defects or unsafe conditions to manager prior to starting scheduled work. \ If authorized to \ park out\ , follows all procedures related to \ park outs.\ \ Performs other duties/responsibilities that may be assigned by the location MANAGER from time to time. POSITION REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION \ High School Graduate or equivalent. LICENSING/ REGISTRATION/ CERTIFICATION \ Current valid driver\'s license from your State of residence. \ Current valid CDL B with Air Brake, Passenger (P), and School Bus (S) endorsements. \ Current Massachusetts School Bus Certificate \ Current Massachusetts 7-D Certificate, if applicable \ Current DOT Physical (Medical) Certificate EXPERIENCE: \ Good driving record with no accidents, and must be insurable as a safe driver under the COMPANY\'S current * Willing to train right candidate Salary: \$47,000 pe year, negoatiable based on exerience.
