The starting rate is $19.00/hour.Responsibilities:Managing run pullouts and openings and closing runs in the systemRecording late pullouts, uncovered driver callouts, and closed routesWorking with service provider window dispatchers to pullout runs as scheduled and/or to obtain additional resources and capacity as neededPro-actively managing runs to maintain service performance standardsReassigning trips between runs in a timely way, as neededAssigning trips on the wait-list to runs far enough ahead for them to be performed on-timeResponding to driver requests for assistanceManaging incidents and accidents in accordance with established policies and proceduresRecoding denials if necessaryOther duties as assignedQualifications:Education, Licensing, and Certifications:High school education or equivalent, such as GED, required.Skills and Knowledge Required:Previous dispatch experience required, and prior experience as a driver for paratransit operations may be beneficialExcellent knowledge of service area streets, landmarks, and institutions, including all major trip generators and transfer pointsExcellent knowledge of traffic patterns and their impact on paratransit operationsExcellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and on a two-way communication deviceStrong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and paratransit scheduling software and the ability to learn new softwareAbility to work flexible hoursPre-Employment Requirements:Must submit to drug testing and a background checkPhysical Requirements:Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilitiesWork is accomplished at a workstation or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone, headset, and computer.Work environments are generally noisy, and the employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.About Transdev: Cities, counties, airports, companies, and universities across the U.S. contract with Transdev to operate their transportation systems, maintain their vehicle and fleets, and deliver on mobility solutions.
