Causley Trucking, a family owned and operated business since 1941 is searching for a Dispatcher for our Detroit operations / terminal!Location: Saginaw, MI Department: Operations/Logistics Reports to: Saginaw Terminal ManagerPosition Overview: Causley is looking for a motivated and experienced Dispatcher to oversee the coordination of our fleet operations at the Detroit terminal. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient communication between drivers, customers, and other departments, while managing delivery schedules, routes, and load assignments.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and manage the scheduling of drivers and vehicles for delivery and pickup.Communicate effectively with drivers regarding assignments, schedules, and any changes.Monitor delivery progress, providing updates to customers as necessary.Utilize dispatch software to track and manage loads, routes, and deliveries.Address any transportation-related issues, including delays, vehicle breakdowns, or route changes.Maintain accurate records of driver hours, deliveries, and service logs.Collaborate with the terminal manager and other departments to optimize operations.Ensure compliance with company policies and all relevant transportation regulations.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or transportation is a plus.Previous experience as a dispatcher in the logistics/transportation industry preferred.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficient in using dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance is a plus.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for advancement within the company.A dynamic and supportive work environment.
