Required Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years ofage at the time of application
- High school diploma, GEDcertification or equivalent
- A valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications - Two years working experiencein law enforcement dispatching
- Louisiana POST Certification
Responsibilities - Adhere to the policies andprocedures of the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office.
- Maintain professionalconduct at all times.
- Answer multiple phone linesprofessionally from a variety of sources including 911.
- Transferring calls to thenecessary department or individual
- Handle all radio traffic andlogging information in computer-aided dispatch (CAD), monitor GPS vehicletracking system, and deputies working off-duty details.
- Input and receiveinformation from NCIC
- Report all unusualoccurrences, accidents, or safety hazards to supervisors
- Strictly adhere to policiessafeguarding confidentiality
Benefits - The minimum hourly rate ofpay for this position is $13.61/hr
- Postsecondary education andLaw enforcement or Dispatch experience will be taken under consideration inrespect to the hourly rate of pay.
- Eligible for paid overtime

- Vacation and Sick time after1 year of continuous employment
- Eligible for additionalleave when scheduled on an office holiday
