Seeking a Dispatcher in the Des Moines Area!!Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining records of inbound and outbound shipments, managing driver assignments, and performing various administrative duties to ensure smooth warehouse operations.ResponsibilitiesCompile and maintain records of inbound and outbound shipments.Plan and direct driver's assignments including checking them in, assigning their doors, and checking them out once the load is complete.Assist with checking in drivers and performing administrative duties for the warehouse.Run BOLs (bill of lading) for outbound, print off receipts for inbound transactions, enter customer changes, provide paperwork to Warehouse leads, create orders for inbounds, and assist with maintaining spreadsheets and reports for shipping and receiving.Answer the phone and direct drivers to the correct doors for drop off and pick up of shipments.Use a 2-way radio to communicate with managers in the warehouse and work directly with the team.Essential Skills1+ years of shipping experience, including working with drivers.1+ years of administrative experience.Strong attention to detail.Proficiency in data entry.Basic computer skills.Experience in shipping and receiving.Additional Skills & QualificationsLongevity on the resume – 1+ years in each position.Work EnvironmentThis position is onsite, with openings for both 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm) and 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm). There is a 75 cent pay differential for the 2nd shift.
